	Blue Ribbon Day 2008
	Blue Ribbon Day on September 29th is a very special occasion in Victoria It is an expression of remembrance, support and appreciation from the people of Victoria for their police force. It not only remembers the heroic actions of the officers who have given their lives in the line of duty but also gives us an opportunity to simply say "thank you" on one special day each year to the men and women in blue who serve our community so very well.

Chief Commissioners Ball 2008

	Police Officer of the Year Award
	The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation named Senior Sergeant Ken Dunlop as its Police Officer of the Year at its annual partner’s breakfast on July 17th. Senior Sergeant Dunlop has been a member of Victoria Police for more than 37 years and it is our good fortune that he has been a supporter and volunteer of the Blue Ribbon Foundation for nearly 20 of those years.



	Shepparton Hospital Openings
	Three police officers killed in the line of duty were honoured at Shepparton Hospital on July 13th 2007 with the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation officially dedicating facilities in their name. The Eyre-Tynan Emergency Department is named in honour of Constables Damian Eyre and Stephen Tynan, whilst the Ray Denman Short Stay Unit is dedicated to First Constable Ray Denman.



	Tony Clarke Memorial Opening
	The Tony Clarke Dedicated Trauma Theatre was officially opened on June 12th and named in memory of Senior Constable Tony Clarke, who was murdered at Yarra Junction on April 24th 2005. The official plaque was unvelied by Minisiter for Police & Emergency Services, The Hon Bob Cameron, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Kieran Walshe and Chairman of the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation, Mr John Forbes.



	Spirit of Football Awards
	Over the past 6 years the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation has created and sponsored the Spirit of Football Awards Program in the East Gippsland Football League (EGFL).
